Dr. Keffer has been practicing as a veterinarian for over thirty years. he earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University. Upon graduating, he completed an 18 month surgical internship at Purdue University. He focused throughout his studies on general and emergency medicine, ear reconstruction, and surgery.
The focal point of his certified, post-graduate course work was complex orthopedics, including joint reconstruction, total hip replacement, knee surgery, and complex bone plating.
Dr. Keffer has also patented an orthopedic device that simplifies the very complex tibial plateau leveling osteotomy procedure (knee surgery) and the device is being marketed internationally.
A cowboy at heart, Dr. Keffer was raised on a small ranch in Wyoming. He enjoys his roots, lives in the country, works hard for his clients, and prefers vacations on his Harley.

Dr. Jennifer Roy
We are THRILLED to have Dr. Jennifer Roy at our practice. Dr. Roy is a valuable asset and we are extremely proud that she chose Blue Valley Animal Hospital as the right fit. She has quickly become a fan among our clients, and we're not sure what we ever did without her. You can rest assured that she will not let you leave with a question or concern lingering.
A graduate of Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Roy has extensive experience in emergency medicine and a special interest in preventive medicine. She offers compassionate and thorough care and has a warm personality. Dr. Roy is a loving wife to Pete and mother to her five year old son. They are excited to be adding a new addition in May 2012! She also is the proud (sometimes!) owner to her very rambunctious golden retriever, Brody, and great pyreenes/goldendoodle puppy Lexi. With her strong values, warm and inviting personality, and experience in veterinary care, these are only a few reasons why we cannot wait for you to meet her!
